TOUR N°01
VISIT TO VAISON-LA-ROMAINE
Cultural discovery, alone, as a couple or with the family
Direct access from the campsite

Presentation
Departing from the Théâtre Romain campsite, this itinerary offers a complete and enjoyable tour of Vaison-la-Romaine, ideal for discovering the town without using the car. The route links the main areas of the town, between the old town center, historic districts and ancient sites. Progress is easy, on accessible paths with very little gradient, making the walk suitable for everyone. For visits to sites, monuments and the upper town, we recommend that you park your bike close to the access points and continue on foot, to enjoy the sites to the full and respect the heritage zones. The route can be made easier by omitting the 2 beautiful views that climb up. Points 1 to 5, a slightly tough climb up to Chapelle Sainte Croix, with picnic facilities and high views over the town and Mont Ventoux (for the less athletic, go from 1 directly to point 6). Point 12, a lovely viewpoint above the château, also climbs, but is shorter.
