Presentation

Departing from the Théâtre Romain campsite in Vaison-la-Romaine, this long loop heads south towards Roaix, then on to the magnificent hilltop village of Séguret, classified as one of France’s Most Beautiful Villages. The route then passes through the famous vineyards of Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Beaumes-de-Venise, at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, offering spectacular scenery between vineyards and limestone reliefs. The route becomes more undulating towards Lafare, before reaching Malaucène, at the foot of Mont Ventoux. The return journey takes in Crestet, a superb medieval village overlooking the valley, before returning to Vaison-la-Romaine. A complete and demanding circuit, combining heritage, renowned vineyards and exceptional panoramas.
